Depuis 2004, Monsieur et Madame Jean-Christophe Romatet habitent le château de Miromesnil avec leurs trois enfants. Situé à quelques kilomètres de Dieppe en Normandie, le domaine appartient à la même famille depuis trois générations.
C’est en 1938 que les grands-parents de Nathalie Romatet, le Comte et la Comtesse Bertrand de Vogüé, ont fait l’acquisition de Miromesnil.

The chateau was purchased by her grandmother in 1938, who developed the walled kitchen garden to feed her family of 8 chldren and associated staff and provide bouquets of flowers for the château. The garden has over 70 different vegetables, plus fruit trees and flowers, and asortment which contributes to soil and insect biodiversity. It is only 0.25 hectare in size, but can currently feed 30 people with fruit, vegetables and flowers from June to October.
The chateau was taken over by Nathalie Romatet and her husband in 2004. They run the chateau with revenue from viistor sales, accomdotations and events. The writer Guy de Maupassant was born on the first floor of the chateau in 1850. The château has 100 hecatres of grasing land, 70 ha of forest, and 30 ha of landscaped grounds for the château, stables, and chapel.
L’actuel château a été construit sur les ruines des précédents. Dès le XIIème siècle, le domaine abritait un château fort. Celui-ci fut détruit en 1589, au lendemain de la bataille d’Arques qui opposa les troupes de la Ligue Catholique menées par le duc de Mayenne à l’armée royaliste d’Henri IV, encore protestant à cette date. Jacques Dyel, seigneur de Miromesnil, paya de son château sa fidélité au roi de France. Il décida, en 1590, de reconstruire un château résidentiel. Le seul vestige de la période médiévale est la chapelle cachée au cœur de la futaie.
Les lignes épurées de la façade Sud d’époque Henry IV, contrastent avec la profusion décorative de la façade nord de style Louis XIII monumental. La façade de la Cour d’honneur fut remaniée en 1640, par l’ajout de mascarons, de pilastres et de guirlandes de fleurs.
